20th Anniversary Celebrations
held
On June 17th Our Lady of Hope celebrated its 20th
anniversary. Festivities were celebrated after each of
the Sunday vigil and daytime masses. After the vigil
mass a cocktail reception was held and souvenir
champagne glasses and logo tote bags and T-shirts were
given to all in attendance. On the actual feast day,
Sunday the 17th, a superb breakfast was the order of the
day. Again logo items were distributed to the
parishoners in attendance and the 11:30 mass was
concelebrated by former priests. Copies of the parish
photo directory were distributed to directory
participants at both receptions. A wonderful time was
had by all and all are looking forward to our 25th in
2012. |
Msgr.
Bauhoff appointed pastor
Bishop William Murphy has appointed Rev. Msgr.
Richard Bauhoff as our new and third pastor. Msgr.
Bauhoff is not new to Our Lady of Hope, having been here
in residence when he served on the Tribunal. Msgr.
Bauhoff also served as acting administrator for a short
time during the Gulf War, when our pastor at the time,
Msgr. Midura, was activated from his reserve status.
Msgr. Bauhoff's most recent assignment was as pastor of
St. Mary's in Roslyn, a post he held for 12 years.
